This is a picture of a wall, at a construction site, in Grenoble. I’ve been focusing on urban photography lately and I really like the contrast of vivid colors in a graffiti. There will probably be more to come on this topic later on.

Lately, I’ve been working on urban photography – using HDR techniques. I’ve been focusing most of my time on shooting abandoned buildings and destroyed stuff.

Another one of my urban exploration series. The picture was taken at Bouchayer-Viallet, an old steel factory that’s being torn down to make apartment buildings to cope with the recent increase of the population in Grenoble. Part of this area will be turned into an art museum dedicated to 21st century art forms such as graffiti and street art.

This is the scenery you actually see from the top of the helical parking building located at the heart of Grenoble. The reason it almost looks like it’s been drawn is that I’m using HDR which is a photography technique that consists in taking a picture of a scene with 3 different light exposures to capture the best of all three to regroup into one.

I love this picture! It’s one of the first I made of my « urban exploration » period. This is the runway of a famous helical parking building located at the center of Grenoble. The place isn’t normally accessible to anyone, and we had to wait for a couple of hours, for someone to open the gates, before we could actually go through.

This photograph was taken using HDR technique, you can view a normal, black and white, version of it here. Which one do you like the most?

Underground Alcoves

Here’s a shot I particularly like ! I took it while I was in the famous helical parking building, in downtown Grenoble. This 12 stories-tall building was built at the beginning of the 20th century. There’s an access to the roof that offers a wonderful view of the city. If you ever get the chance to go to Grenoble, you should check it out!
